Caol Ila 12 Year Old Tasting Notes

Salim's tasting notes

Nose: Fine peat quickly stands out, along with some iodine notes and sea spray. Lemon and olive can be detected both on the nose and on the palate.

Palate: Peat is present but not overpowering, with fresh notes of lemon and ash from the distillate. A very slight vanilla influence comes from the barrel, which has been well-polished by time.

Finish: Elegant, with a maritime and peaty character.
