Its medium body makes it a great whisky for cocktails, and the subtle honey, vanilla, and spice notes work especially wonderfully. Citrus also plays well with Johnnie Walker Black because it isn’t heavily peated and the brighter flavors are able to shine.”

Caer Maiko recommends SIA Blended Scotch Whisky: “SIA is a woman-founded blended Scotch that uses Speyside, Highland, Lowland, and Islay whiskies. It’s a drier blend richly balanced with scents of heather, hay, dried stone fruit, vanilla, and ginger. The palette is very similar: soft, dry but malty with a hint of sea salt. It’s light and easygoing, while still being distinctly Scotch!”
