About This Spirit Of Yorkshire Release

Distilled in 2016, this is a ‘field to bottle’ English single malt from Spirit of Yorkshire Distillery. It spent years maturing in bourbon casks before transferring to be ‘finished’ in shaved, toasted and re-charred ("STR") red wine barriques, which came from sunny Rioja vineyards in Spain. STR casks deliver a really beautiful and balanced maturation.

Light and floral, with layers of summer berries and vanilla ice cream, there’s a sweet and oaky spiciness to Filey Bay STR Cask Finish whisky that hints at a fantastic glass of Spanish red wine.
