The Serena family, as reported on an ancient family tree, was born nearly 1390 in Venice and counts many important political members, landowners and glass masters among its descendants. After multiple generations and several transfers we find ourselves in the Treviso province, where Pietro, the founder of the company, was born in 1839. In 1881 at Crocetta trevigiana, near Cornuda, Pietro built the first distillery, where the wine was stored and sold in wooden barrels. After going through the first and second world wars, the business succeeded to the third generation, which uses the most functional and handy demijohns for the sale of cask wine. With Adolfo Serena in 1967 the company headquarters was moved to Susegana, and in the ’70, when the two sons Gerardo and Giorgio joined in the company, the changes began. In those years, in fact, there was a growing need of finding a new packaging for cask wine that was safe but also practical and convenient. In 1987 the company started using the steel kegs to sell its wine. In the ’90 Vinicola Serena invested a big amount of capital and lots of resources to implement the production of wine in kegs, until they succeeded and became the leaders in this industry. The wine in keg still remains the core business of the company, especially in the Italian Ho.re.ca market, together with the production of wines in bottles, which gave great satisfaction from the beginning, thanks to the high quality of unique local wines, and the attention of the family for tradition and the market needs. These features has been making Vinicola Serena an important exponent of Treviso wine industry for more than a century.Luca Paretti Brut appears soft yellow with lime green hues and fine bubbles that produce understated aromas of green apple and peach with floral notes. It has a soft, but fresh, acidity on the mouth and the hint of fruit is delightfully pleasurable for those who enjoy exotic fruit on the palate.
