A blend of well-aged Bacardi Rums re-filtered until nearly clear.

Bacardi is still family owned — seven generations of the Bacardi family have run the company since it was founded on February 4th, 1862. They are the largest privately held Spirits company in the world. Headquartered in Hamilton, Bermuda, they are best known for their namesake White Puerto Rican Rum. But they are a worldwide producer of Spirits covering every major category with annual sales nearing US $5 billion.

To celebrate the 150th anniversary of the company, Bacardi set out to create a masterpiece line of ultra-premium Rums. Thus, they created the Facundo range of four special Rums — each distinct and unique.

There is a trend in premium Spirits — especially with Rums — to age them properly, then re-filter them to remove most if not all of the color. The process yields a nearly clear Spirit with the flavor profile of a well-aged dram. The prefix "neo" means new, but all of the Spirits in Bacardi Facundo Neo Rum are aged. It has been released as the entry-point to their premium line-up with Rums from their portfolio aged between one and eight years.
